1.0  Organization of This CD-ROM

 *   Documentation and related files are included on this
     CD in the DOC directory.  The DOC directory includes the
     following: BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Laptops &
     Desktops books in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format
     ("*.PDF")

 *   Table of Contents PDF file which lists all the
     BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Laptops & Desktops books and
     provides a link from each title to its respective PDF file.
     This file is named BABLD_Table_of_Contents.PDF. Use this
     file for convenient point-and-click access to any book in
     the documentation set.

 *   Index file (INDEX.PDX) and Index folder enable you
     to perform cross book searches.

 *   ACROBAT folder contains the files needed to install
     the Adobe Acrobat Reader with search capabilities.

2.0  Printing PDF Files

PDF files are formatted for printing.  Depending upon
your printer, you may occasionally find that you are unable
to print a PDF file because of its size and the amount of
memory required to process it. If this happens, you can
print the PDF file in segments. The Adobe Acrobat Print
dialog includes a Print Range group box that enables you to
specify the pages that you want to include in each segment.

3.0  Searching and Navigating PDF Files

The cross-book index file, INDEX.PDX, enables you to
locate occurrences of a search string across the entire
documentation set. To perform searches, open the bookshelf
pdf or any one of the manuals in Acrobat, and choose Search
then Query from the Acrobat Edit menu. The search facility
requires that the PDF files and the INDEX folder all reside
in the same directory.  If you copy the files to a local
server, be sure to maintain this structure.

The BABLD_Table_of_Contents.PDF file provides a table of
contents to the documents that are included on the CD.  The
file lists the document titles included in the doc set and
provide a link to the document PDF file. By clicking on the
link, you can open the PDF file for the document. Each book
PDF file includes a bookmark (called Bookshelf) that lets
you return to the table of contents file.
