The Exchange SDK Development Tools require one of the following platforms:
The Exchange SDK Development Tools can run with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. Exchange Explorer requires the controls provided with Microsoft Visual Basic that are supplied in the MSCOMCTL.ocx file. The Exchange SDK Development Tools setup program installs the MSCOMCTL.ocx file for computers that do not have Visual Basic installed.
You can install the Exchange SDK Development Tools on a computer running either Exchange 2000 Server or SharePoint Portal Server 2001.
Perform these steps to install the Development Tools on an Exchange server.
By default, the setup wizard installs the Exchange SDK Development Tools on the drive containing the operating system (usually drive C), in the folder \Program Files\Exchange SDK\Tools.
Perform these steps to remove the Development Tools from an Exchange server.
The following are issues known to exist at the time of release.
Problems can occur when creating an application deployment package, or when installing a package on computers running Internet Explorer 6. Read the Knowledge Base article number Q316231 at the Microsoft Support Web site.
Because the versions of MSXML that are currently available only support replace-mode installation, you will not be able to install MSXML in side-by-side mode, as the documentation instructs.
