How to Use Hotfix 7.00.985 with SQL Server Service Pack 3
===============================================================================================

Please read through this file thoroughly before you proceed with any of the hotfix installation
steps.

You can only use this hotfix with the Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 3 setup program.
********************************************************************************************

This hotfix contains the following files:

Setup.ins: Core SQL Server Service Pack installation file.

Standard Hotfix Installation Steps
===============================================================

1. If the SQL Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) program is on a CD, you must copy the contents of 
   the CD onto a hard disk drive.
    
2. Replace the Setup.ins file in the self-extracting executable with the Setup.ins file 
   provided with the SQL Server SP3 setup program. Specify the X86\Setup or Alpha\Setup
   directory (depending on the processor architecture of the server) within the directory
   in which you copied the service pack files in step 1. For example, if you chose to 
   extract the service pack files to the default C:\SP3 directory, and your server has
   an Intel-based processor, then specify C:\SP3\X86\Setup as the directory.

3. Run the SQL Server SP3 installation from the directory you specified in step 2.
