APPLICATIONS FOR WINDOWS SHAREPOINT SERVICES

To perform the instructions below, you must have 
Administrator Rights to both the root of the Windows 
SharePoint Server and to the server box that it lives
on.

1. Download the site template EXE file to the server 
   machine
2. Run the EXE file to unpack the Template Files to a 
   location on the server machine 
3. Navigate to your top-level Windows SharePoint 
   Services Site
4. Click on Site Settings at the top of the page
5. Click Go To Site Administration under the 
   Administration section
6. Under the Site Collection Galleries section, click on 
   Manage Site Template Gallery
7. Choose Upload Template and browse to the location 
   where you unpacked the site template in step two 
8. Give the template a Title and Description

In order to create a site using the template you just
installed to the gallery, do the following.

1. Navigate to your Windows SharePoint Services Site
2. Click Create on the top link bar
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Sites 
   and Workspaces”
4. Give your site a Title, Description, and URL
5. Change the Permissions or not as appropriate
6. Click Create
7. Select the template you just installed from the list
   of available templates.
8. Click OK

To uninstall the Template, do the following.  You must
have Administrator Rights to the root of the windows
SharePoint Server.
========================================================

1. Browse to the root site of the site collection
2. Click Site Settings
3. Click Go to Site Administration
4. Click Manage Site Template Gallery
5. Scroll to the Template you want to uninstall
6. Click the Edit icon for that Template
7. Click Delete

NOTICE: This will not remove the templates from any 
sites that were already created using this template. 
It will only prevent users from creating new sites 
based on that template.
