Reported Anomaly: SCP upload of certificates may fail. Disposition: Fix planned for a future release. 2. Reported Anomaly: Upgrades to AOS firmware later than version 2.1.0 fails. Disposition: To upgrade a Network Management Card from an AOS version 1.x.x to AOS version 2.1.0 or later, you must first upgrade to AOS version 2.0.x. Or use the automated upgrade tool available at www.apc.com\tools\download. 3. Reported Anomaly: "Reset to Defaults" does not change the baud rate to its default value of 2400 baud. Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 4. Reported Anomaly: The Network Management Card logs the error "Ran out of simple heap" and performs a warmstart after the following sequence of events: SSL/3DES completes, SSHv2 generates the keys and certificates, you log into FTP and get the config.ini file, and you use the Web to transfer the same config.ini file to the Network Management Card. Disposition: Restart the Network Management Card after an SSL certificate and SSH keys and certificates are generated but before uploading the config.ini file. 5. Reported Anomaly: Unknown compatibility with Windows XP SP2. Disposition: Upon availability from Microsoft, this service pack will be tested for compatibility. 6. Reported Anomaly: Error message in the Web interface displays a range of "5000- 32768 for the "FTP Server Port" when it should display the range of "5001-32768". Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 7. Reported Anomaly: SCP file transfer may report "Fatal: Network error: Connection reset by peer" after the transfer completes successfully. Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 1.3 NEW FEATURES & ENHANCEMENTS 1. Support for PowerNet MIB 3.6.8. 1.4 BUGS FIXED IN THIS VERSION 1. Various user interface enhancements. 2. The NTP time update result didn't update when the console's "Update Using NTP Now" function was executed. 3. Checking is performed for an FTP port minus one to be reserved for the FTP server, because the FTP Server requires 2 ports. 4. The password change events didn't log when the new password contained the old password as part of the string. When the password event did log, it didn't specify detailed information as to which system password changed, i.e., Administrator or Device Manager. 5. Increased the TFTP download response time to prevent a TFTP transfer timeout. 6. The DHCP server can handle an infinite lease time. 7. Added another option to the RestartAgent SNMP OID to leave the Boot Mode at the current setting, set the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway to defaults, expire any existing DHCP lease and restart the system. 8. A race condition existed in relation to DNS causing a system warmstart. An event was placed in the event log stating a system error has occurred. As this issue occurred, it may have not adversely affected the operation of the Network Management Card. The frequency and distribution of this issue is not known. ________________________________________________________________ 2.0 This section intentionally left blank. ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ 3.0 UPS Application for DP300, BC300 and AIS 5000 Series (apc_hw02_dp3e_260.bin) ________________________________________________________________ 3.1 COMPATIBILITY apc_hw02_aos_264.bin Network Management Card OS & TCP/IP Stack See OS & TCP/IP Stack Modifications (apc_hw02_aos_264.bin) for a list of modifications and enhancements that affect this application version. 3.2 KNOWN ISSUES IN THIS VERSION 1. Reported Anomaly: Telnet and Web user interface have some minor aesthetic issues. Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 2. Reported Anomaly: User name/password credentials are not available to send to the SMTP server when sending e-mails. Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 3. Reported Anomaly: The Web interface allows the user to change the password without confirmation. Disposition: A fix is planned for a future release. 3.3 NEW FEATURES & ENHANCEMENTS 1. Support for PowerNet MIB 3.6.8. 2. Support new AIS 5000 Series UPS. 3. Support RADIUS server authentication. 4. Removed MD5 authentication support. 3.4 BUGS FIXED IN THIS VERSION 1. Various user interface enhancements. 2. Prevent http and https to be configured to same port number. 3. Properly supports UPS over-temperature alarm condition by changing the alarm state text and the addition of new SNMP traps. 4. Test e-mail via secondary DNS server performs properly. 5. Prevent UPS communication problems when the system clock time rolls over after approximately 497 days of system up time. 6. The "message delay" paging feature performs properly. 7. Trap receiver authentication filters for "Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access the Control Console interface" events. 8. The UPS, Environmental Monitor Unit (EMU), and Integrated Environmental Monitor (IEM) OIDs return NULL if the connected device is in a lost communications state instead of cached values. 9. The SNMP OID, mUpsEnvironAmbientTemperature1, reported the value based on the preference temperature units instead of Celsius readings only. 10. Environmental Monitor Unit (EMU) probe alarms had event signaling problems when the event was generated by enabling or disabling the alarm configuration. 11. Prevent humidity values of less than 5.0% logging in the data log when a temperature-only probe is connected. 12. Any Integrated Environmental Monitor (IEM) probe-clearing event halts persistent fault traps. 13. If a Network Management Card receives a PowerChute(R) Network Shutdown (PCNS) shut down command 10 seconds after the UPS returned from an On-Battery condition, it will perform the configured On-Battery Shutdown Behavior action ("Turn Off and Stay Off" or "Reboot On Line Return"). 14. The device status icons refreshes on the "UPS refreshing status" page. 15. Clicking the "Initiate control action" button twice on the UPS control action "confirm Web page" won't lock up and warmstart the system. ________________________________________________________ 4.0 UPS Application for Smart-UPS, Smart-UPS XL, Smart-UPS RT, Smart-UPS VT, Matrix-UPS, Smart-UPS DP (apc_hw02_sumx_260.bin) ________________________________________________________ 4.1 COMPATIBILITY apc_hw02_aos_264.bin Network Management Card OS & TCP/IP Stack See OS & TCP/IP Stack Modifications (apc_hw02_aos_264.bin) for a list of modifications and enhancements that affect this application version. 4.2 KNOWN ISSUES IN THIS VERSION 1. Prevents a UPS bypass control command from being issued when applying to "Sync groups", because bypass commands are not allowed in Sync control groups. 15. When issuing a UPS bypass control command with "Shutdown PCNS Servers" option selected, notifies the user that the servers will not shut down. 16. Load Alarm and Runtime Alarm thresholds are available for status and configuration for Smart-UPS VT in the SNMP, Control Console, and Web interface and in the ini file. 17.
