Organization of This CD-ROM =========================== This product's documentation and related files are included on this CD in the DOC directory. The DOC directory includes the following: - Language directories (for example, ENU for US English), each containing a Windows subdirectory. The subdirectory contains: o The BrightStor ARCserve Backup guides in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format ("*.PDF") o A Table of Contents PDF file listing all the BrightStor ARCserve Backup guides and providing a link from each title to its respective PDF file. This file is named BAB_CACD_TOC.pdf. Use this file for convenient point-and-click access to any guide in the documentation set. o An Index file (INDEX.PDX) and Index folder to enable you to perform cross-guide searches. - An ACROBAT folder containing the files needed to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader with search capabilities. Printing PDF Files ========================= PDF files are formatted for printing. Depending upon your printer, you may occasionally find that you are unable to print a PDF file because of its size and the amount of memory required to process it. If this happens, you can print the PDF file in segments. The Adobe Acrobat Print dialog includes a Print Range field to specify the pages you want to include in each segment. Searching and Navigating PDF Files ================================== The cross-guide index file, INDEX.PDX, enables you to locate occurrences of a search string across the entire documentation set. To use the search function, from the Acrobat Edit menu, choose Search, Query. The search facility requires that the PDF files and the INDEX folder reside in the same directory. If you copy the files to a local server, you must maintain this structure to use the search function. The BAB_CACD_TOC.pdf file is a table of contents for all of the PDF documents included on the CD. The file lists the document titles and provides a link to each PDF file. Click the link to open the specific PDF file. Each guide includes a bookmark (called Bookshelf) that returns you to the Table of Contents file.
