You will need the ARCserve 2000 CD to install Service Pack 1. 3. If any ARCserve 2000 component is installed after applying Service Pack 1, Service Pack 1 must be reinstalled. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This document will explain in detail each problem that has been addressed by this service pack. I. ARCSERVE 2000 FIXES/CHANGES 1. ARCserve2000 database engine is unable to connect to MSSQL when set up as a Central DB. 2. Not all files are being displayed in Restore by Tree View or Restore by Session View when using VLDB as the database. 3. During a ARCserve2000 DB recover, tape engine could hang while RDS is shutting down. 4. NTAgent full system backup would crash if the IP version of the agent was selected from under the discovery list. 5. DRO, IO, SBO and SANO registration issues. 6. Unable to restore registry files and active files in NT4.0. 7. NT Agent ignores Volume Mount points that have no drive letter associated with it and when included in a whole node backup. 8. Single drive tape library support for workgroup edition. 9. Session type is incorrect after a backup and merge of a Windows 2000 FAT32 session. 10. Session type is incorrect after a backup and merge of a FAT session. 11. Session type is incorrect after a merge of a FAT32 drive using the NTAgent. 12. ARCserve2000 SCAN shows "Unknown" type in job log when scanning a FAT32 session. 13. A new check box is added to ARCserve system state session options that the user can check to state is the SYSVOL being restored is to be used as primary data (which implies that this is the only domain controller being restored in the system). The box is by default not checked implying a default non-authoritative restore. 14. In the event that the user changes the location of the database after a system state backup, such a restore would result the user being unable to boot back into the normal mode. We fix this bug by always restoring to the original location from where the AD was backed up. 15. Certain IIS Metabase related files were added to the system state backup. These are files in the following location. %System root%\system32\Microsoft\protect\* %System drive%\document and settings\all users\Microsoft\crypto\RSA\Machine Keys\* 16. Restore after uninstalling the existing certificate service does not bring up the certificate service after the reboot. 17. Added support for DDS4. 18. Removed "animation" item form context menu. 19. Corrected percent expanded when expanding files for a session within the Database Manager. 20. Fixed GP when two managers connected to the same computer and issued the Refresh command from the context menu. 21. Fixed GP in Backup Manager/Source tab, on NetWare Agent Option dialog, if the host name is blank. 22. VLM driver was not being removed when TLO was uninstalled. 23. Tape Engine would GP if Quick Init is set on. 24. Medium Type DDS4 gets displayed as a number. 25. Medium Type AIT1 gets displayed as "DAT". 27. Corrects a medium display issue on Compaq 20/40GB changers. 28. Tape Engine would GP when group number is greater than 8. 29. SAN Distributed server would GP when a tape would span. II. NT Agent fixes 1. NTAgent was unable to backup/restore audit information in a W2K environment. 2. NTAgent "Delete Log Files" window shows files with a different date and time than the one shown in Explorer. 3. NTAgent was honoring filters. 4. NTAgent Admin "list" menu is disabled.
