Description

This client release contains the complete ICA 32-bit Windows Client
(Version 4.21.779). This is the same version that shipped on the
MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows 2000 Servers, MetaFrame 1.8 Service
Pack 1, and WinFrame 1.8 Service Pack 5C CD-ROMs.

The ICA 32-bit Windows Client supports the following platforms:

- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows NT 3.51
- Windows NT 4.0
- Windows 2000


Installation Instructions for the NE000779 Client
-------------------------------------------------

Server Installation
-------------------

1. Copy NE000779.EXE to a temporary directory and extract
   the client files.

2. Make sure you exit the ICA Client if it is running on the
   client machine.

3. Run SETUP to install the client.


Floppy Diskette Instructions
----------------------------

NOTE: To create floppy diskettes, use the following command
when extracting the client files:

NE000779.EXE -d

The (-d) option restores the correct directory structure so
that the client files can be copied to diskette.

1. Have three blank, formatted 1.44MB floppy diskettes available.

2. Label the diskettes as follows:

   ICA Client for Windows NT/95/98 Setup Diskette #1
   ICA Client for Windows NT/95/98 Setup Diskette #2
   ICA Client for Windows NT/95/98 Setup Diskette #3

3. Copy NE000779.EXE to a temporary directory and extract
   the client files using the following command:

   NE000779.EXE -d

   The extracted directory structure will be as follows:
	
   c:\temp\readme.txt
   c:\temp\disk1\
   c:\temp\disk2\
   c:\temp\disk3\

   where c:\temp is the temporary directory you created.

4. Insert diskette #1 and copy the files from the \disk1 
   subdirectory to the floppy disk using the following command:

   copy c:\disk1\*.* a:\

5. Insert diskette #2 and copy the files from the \disk2 
   subdirectory to the floppy disk using the following command:

   copy c:\disk2\*.* a:\

6. Insert diskette #3 and copy the files from the \disk3 
   subdirectory to the floppy disk using the following command:

   copy c:\disk3\*.* a:\

7. Insert diskette #1 and execute the following command to
   install the Client:

   SETUP

8. Follow the on-screen instructions.


Client Auto Update Instructions
-------------------------------
This client supports the Client Auto Update feature of WinFrame 1.8
and MetaFrame 1.x. It is recommended that this feature be used to
distribute this client to your end users. This feature is not 
available for WinFrame 1.5, 1.6, or 1.7. For these versions of 
WinFrame, use the manual installation instructions described below.

1. Copy NE000779.EXE to a temporary directory and extract
   the client files.

2. On the Citrix server, launch the ICA Client Update Configuration
   utility.

3. On the Client menu, click New.

4. Click the Browse button to locate the Update.ini that was
   extracted in Step 1.

5. Refer to "Understanding Client Auto Update" in the Citrix
   ICA Client Administrator's Guides for more information.
