Patch 131 fixes a crash problem with Symantec[tm] Brightmail AntiSpam 6.0.1.

An issue with licensing caused a crash to occur. Patch 131 resolves this issue.

Installation Instructions (Windows):

  1. Download the zip file.
  2. Open up the zip file in order to view the contents.
  3. Find the LOADPOINT. Its location is given in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Brightmail\Loadpoint .
  4. Stop the Brightmail Server using the Control Center.
  5. Stop the Brightmail Agent Windows service (service name BMIAGNTSVC) from Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Services.
  6. Extract the zip file into the LOADPOINT.
  7. Start the Brightmail Agent Windows service (service name BMIAGNTSVC) from
  8. Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Services.
  9. Start the Brightmail Server using the Control Center.

Note: You may see 'info' or 'error' messages in the event log generated when you stop and start the Brightmail services. You can safely ignore these messages.
