The Dial-Up phone number for both analog modems (56k) and ISDN is (707) 636-2435 (or #2435 if you have an am.net Centrex ISDN line)

You'll need to e-mail/fax us your preferred login name and password.
We'll e-mail/fax you a confirmation once your account is setup

Your IP address is dynamically assigned every time you dial in unless you have a dedicated line, in which case we will e-mail/fax you your IP number.

In Trumpet set the IP Number to 0.0.0.0 - that will configure it for dynamic configuration

Set the Netmask to 255.255.255.0

The Default Gateway/Host number will actually be configured dynamically but you can plug in 206.176.224.254
(In Trumpet uncheck "Internal PPP" option, then you can configure the gateway, then check it back)

The DNS (Domain Name) Servers are 206.176.224.66 for primary and 206.176.224.67 for secondary

The mail server is am.net for both send (SMTP) and recieve (POP3).  Please note that your POP3 login and password can be different from the Dial-Up settings.
It is very important that you configure your e-mail program to store messages (and not just headers) locally and not on our server.  Our server cannot keep your messages for a long period of time after they have been read.  In Netscape, under Mail configuration, select the "Remove messages from Server" option.

The newsgroup server is news.am.net

You must also configure PAP or better authentication protocol. Simply enable it and input your login name and password.  In Trumpet this is in File-PPP Options.
