-
For Dedicated Process and Virtual Server accounts
we've updated our account control panel. The new control panel can be accessed by going
to http://yourdomain/controlpanel/. The control panel includes a rewrite of our
Web traffic analyzer and disk utilization programs. The new traffic analyzer will produce
reports in several different formats with a variety of options.
-
We're still working on our new Website which we hope to have up some time in November.
The new site covers our AOLserver services in more detail. In the meantime if
you're looking for AOLserver hosting or development give us a call at (800) 579-2018.
-
Earlier this month we finished a port of ADPs from AOLserver 3 to AOLserver 2.1. It was
all quite fun. Check it out at http://aolserver.am.net/.
Our next Open-Source project is to add either WebDAV or FrontPage support to AOLserver.
-
One last item: please send all *Internet* support requests to
help@am.net, not support@am.net.
The mailbox support@am.net is for our Network Consulting division.

Exciting stuff is happening!
Lets see, where should I start?
- In the last three years we've been having so much fun developing Web Apps. we have
neglected our Website. But not for any longer! We're currently in the process
of renovating our Website. We've completed the pre-production phase and our
very satisfied with the results (which are just a stack of design documents right now).
We're now in the process of evaluating several design
prototypes (although our programmers want a text only site). The new site will be much prettier,
easier to use, and the content will be up to date with what we are doing now. Management
is committed to a post-production plan in which we continually update our Website.
- One of our core technologies, AOLserver, has gone
Open-Source! This is very exciting news for us. We are committed to actively contributing to the
Open-Source AOLserver community. Our first goal is to bring ADPs into AOLserver 2.1 (this will
be in the form of a C module and Yes this will be Open-Source).
- We're no longer using the Illustra ORDBMS as our back-end database (although we may still run it
for you if you're really nice). We've migrated to Microsoft SQL Server and are extremely satisfied
with the results.
- We're no longer just an NT shop. We now also run Linux! On Linux we use the SOLID RDBMS and are
currently evaluating ways to connect to MS SQL Server. We do AOLserver hosting on Linux
for $200 startup/$175 monthly. This includes your own AOLserver process and SOLID database pool.
